We previously covered who to follow Inside Comic-Con during the convention, so now we move outdoors to beautiful downtown San Diego. The lists below will help you in staying up-to-date with outside events and parties, virals, celebrity sightings, and other things to do during SDCC.

News, Updates & Events

CNET @CNET - They take over a restaurant in downtown for their BaseStation, which is a great place to recharge yourself and your gadgets.  They will be tweeting about giveaways & events at the BaseStation.

Geek & Sundry @GeekandSundry – The creators of awesome web series and hosts of an outside event during SDCC.

Hard Rock Hotel SD ‏ @HardRockSD – Home of the Microsoft Xbox Lounge in prior years and several other offsite events.

Henry’s Pub @HenrysPubSD – A great spot in the Gaslamp for food and drink, and home of our own Enchantment Under The SDCC party!

Hilton Bayfront ‏ @HiltonBayfront – Home of the Indigo Ballroom and host of several official San Diego Comic-Con panels.

Marriott Marina ‏ @MarriottMarina – Location of the fulfillment room, pickup for the MattyCollector voucher sale, Host of exhibitor booths in its ballroom and the home of Comic-Con’s anime and independent film screenings.

Michael Ausiello @MichaelAusiello – Host of the annual Ausholes Party and in-the-know about many other happenings during the con.

The Nerd Machine @thenerdmachine - Game masters of the Nerd HQ and its amazing celebrity panels.

San Diego Blood Bank @sdbloodbank – Give blood during SDCC!

San Diego Zombie Walk @sdzombiewalk – An annual staple of the con, become one of the zombie horde and get hungry in the Gaslamp.

SyFy @syfy  - A few years ago SyFy moved to offsite events only, and it looks like they will stick to that again this year.

The Walking Dead Escape @TWDEscape – A paid event at Petco Park on the Friday and Saturday evenings of Comic-Con. Run the apocalypse obstacle course and try to survive, or sign up to be a zombie to chase people down.


San Diego Airport @SanDiegoAirport – You will likely fly in and out of here, or pick up friends, so follow their feed for airport updates.

SuperShuttle @SuperShuttle – A popular service for out-of-town travelers to use to get from the airport to their hotel, and back.

Gaslamp Quarter @GaslampQuarter – A resource for all things in & around the convention area.

Visit San Diego @visitsandiego – The account for the San Diego Tourism Authority, with information on everything to do in and around San Diego.

Ace Parking @AceParking – Official parking vendor for San Diego Comic-Con, follow for any important parking updates.


Altitude Sky Lounge ‏@AltitudeSky – One of the best views in downtown.

Analog Bar ‏@AnalogBar – A hip restaurant and bar not far from the convention center.

BarleyMash @barleymashsd – A large restaurant and bar located right up the main Gaslamp street, 5th Avenue.

Basic @barbasic – Bar with fantastic pizza and salads, and open until 2am. It has been home to several outsider events during SDCC.

Bubs SanDiego @BubsBallpark – Another fun spot for drinks or dinner, located near Petco Park.

The Field ‏ @FieldIrishPub – An Irish pub and restaurant located up 5th Ave.

Gaslamp Strip Club ‏ @gaslampsteaks – Slightly fancier dining where you cook your own steak.

Nobu San Diego ‏ @NobuSanDiego – Swanky sushi restaurant located in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Mission Brewery @MissionBrewery – Downtown brewery and tasting room located at 14th & L Streets.

SDFoodTrucks ‏ @SDFoodTrucks These will likely be out and about in downtown.
