The A&E series Bates Motel made its San Diego Comic-Con debut in 2013 with a star-studded panel and a private party, and for 2014, its returning to the convention in a big way. Best of all, the series would like to bring one lucky attendee along for the ride.
A&E is giving away one Grand Prize trip for two including airfare, hotel, and two Four Day badges with Preview Night to a lucky winner in its Wish You Were Here contest. To enter, simply visit the site and register. From there, you can obtain entries into the contest by following Bates Motel on various social media platforms or creating Bates Motel themed postcards.
Also included for the winner is entry into any official Bates Motel events. According to the Official Rules, the winner will also receive:
access to the official Bates Motel event(s) (exact dates, times, events are still TBD and in Sponsor’s discretion)
Last year’s private party was attended by the cast, including stars Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Nestor Carbonell, and others, as well as showrunners Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin. The event last year treated guests to Bates Motel themed rooms, including a marijuana room with faux-plants, a motel-style bedroom complete with props (so you could stage your own Psycho-esque theme), and more. There are currently no details about this year’s events, but fans can probably expect another party similar to last year’s extravaganza.
And while nothing is finalized, A&E has told us that they “hope” to attend with another panel with their cast this year. Last year’s panel was held in Room 6A – could 2014 see the series get a room upgrade, possibly to Ballroom 20?
In addition to the ultimate Grand Prize, A&E is also giving ten lucky fans a Bates Motel “Room Service Prize Package”, which includes a Bates Motel themed ice bucket, two rocks glasses, a serving tray, and the season one DVD.
