[UPDATE June 13] How do you top last year’s The Walking Dead Negan and Glenn two-pack San Diego Comic-Con exclusive? Skybound has done just that with The Shiva Force Four-Pack, which features 5″ figures of The Walking Dead‘s Rick Grimes, Michonne, King Ezekiel, and Shiva dressed in a unique Shiva design (and each figure in the set is also individually packaged on a vintage card back with new painted artwork by Jason Edmiston). There will also be a fifth Shiva Force member: Jesus. He will only be available in the summer MegaBox from Skybound, which you can sign up for today. The Shiva Force characters will also be featured in Scopely’s The Walking Dead: Road to Survival starting Thursday, July 20 (and you can see a look at Ezekiel, who will be free for a limited time in the game, below).

The release of Shiva Force on the the Walking Dead: RTS game was very badly marred when the fortnightly region wide wars came to a screeching halt, after glitches kept coming one after the other. Although the servers are finally back in a semblance of being fully functioning, the damage has been done with players writing off what was to be a good weekend of gaming fun, coming close to the second anniversary of the game.

This came immediately after an attempt to do cross server wars two weeks ago, which also led to players not being able to play, after being mismatched, active servers with inactive servers on many regions. An unprecedented letter of apology from the General Manager and compensation to the players followed, with many vocal players in the Scopely forums feeling that the compensation was only a token amount, and did not quite compensate them for their time and money in the game.

As such, many players have started a movement called #spendingstrike in protest of how Scopely has been treating the player base for several months now.

This report is done with the full intention to bring Skybound, and also the creator of the Walking Dead comics to be aware of how shamefully Scopely has treated the IP for the game, and hope that there can be an important pressure brought in to address the current issues within the game. An example of a topic can be found at the following link:!

Players of the RTS, please drop by the booth to share your frustrations with Skybound.

    Thank you.

Walking Dead Road to Survival is being ruined by scopely. It is no longer playable as they are poorly treating the player as well as the game and series. I will no longer be playing until skybound puts pressure on scopely to make dramatic changes.

Dramatic changes were recently promised by scopely however, as recently as yesterday, the game’s biggest draw (all out war) was virtually inexcessible due to the lack of foresight scopely has.

They continue to develop new features without fixing old features and bugs, further creating new bugs. To me this is inexcusable and completely unacceptable.

I hope this gets fixed, but after the many times that scopely has mistreated players and introduced bug-ridden features, I am not optimistic.
