Jeremy Rutz | June 22, 2011 | 7:30 AM

Just yesterday I speculated which video game companies might make an appearance at Comic-Con in July, and what hot titles they might bring with them for attendees. Well, just as the news of TV and movie panels is starting to heat up, so is confirmation of some of the games you’ll be able to get your hands on during the show.

Which games will be playable? And how do you get your hands on these, you ask? Well, good news for those who weren’t able to get a pass to this year’s Comic-Con. Read on…

The Video Games of SDCC 2011

Jeremy Rutz | June 20, 2011 | 12:01 PM

Comic-Con isn’t just for comics anymore, this much we know. But over the past couple of years, video games have been taking a more prominent role on the show floor. With E3 just past and video game companies prepping for a big push into the second half of the year, expect this year to be no different.

Let’s take a look at some of the video game companies we might expect to see at this year’s con.

Zack Young | July 23, 2010 | 11:59 PM

SDCC Blog reader Zach Marcus sent in these reviews of the Scott Pilgrim Experience, Xbox Room at the Hard Rock Hotel, and Flynn’s Arcade. I thought I’d pass them along as I don’t think I’ll be able to visit all of these.

Quick Updates – Glee, SW Christmas Ornaments, Marvel v. Capcom 3

Zack Young | June 17, 2010 | 1:44 PM

I have three updates for you guys today that range from singing to christmas to fighting.
Also, remember to check the offsite events page where two events were just added!

Glee at SDCC - Though it was not in the list of Returning Shows, Glee will have a panel at this year’s convention. Much like their panel last year, expect the stars of the show to be in attendance and maybe even sing a little! Though most attendees might not have a great fondness for the show, all the “Gleeks” are sure to be very pleased.

Star Wars Christmas Ornaments – Hallmark has created an exclusive set of C-3PO Star Wars Ornaments for SDCC. They come in a pack together and will be sold at the Hallmark booth. Tacky? Yes. But a fun addition to any SW fan’s christmas tree. Get more details here. Take a look:

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – Capcom announced that this follow-up to the smash hit fighting game will have a presence at the convention. A playable demo at the Capcom booth is very likely but a panel with character reveals is also expected. This is great news for gaming fans and should make a fun activity in the exhibit hall.

The greatest shirt at the con is free!

Zack Young | July 15, 2009 | 10:57 AM

(Via Joystiq)

The promotional Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles shirts Capcom printed up for Comic-Con have their own dark side: specifically, the inside. The shirts look nice enough when worn normally: a “let your darkside out” slogan adorns the front amid zombie silhouettes, and the game’s logo occupies the back.

But the inside of each shirt has a special graphic printed upside-down, so that when you flip the shirt over your head, you become a zombie. This is the most amazing advance in swag technology we’ve seen in years. If you want one (and you do, because wow), you’ll have to visit Capcom’s specialDarkside Chronicles demo area at Comic-Con and try out the co-op mode.

This is defiantly my choice for shirt of the con! What do you think?
