UPDATE: Pricing has been announced and the set is $17. The pack is also available for pre-order here if you aren’t attending the con (in that case they will be delivered sometime in August). If you are attending, you can wait for details on which booth will be selling them. (Thanks to @DeadpoolBugle on Twitter for the tip)

Above are the Minimates that will debut at this year’s con and be released in a set together. The thing that makes these special is that they are specifically built to the original designs that series creator Rob Liefeld envisioned. No details or pricing have been released but all Minimates are made by Diamond (who distributes their products to a variety of sellers), so you can expect the set to be available at many booths during the con. Warner Brothers just sent out a press release with all the times, locations, and stars for their television panels. Since they make a variety of shows for many networks, the list is jam packed with must-see panels. Unfortunately, the stars that will be attending the Smallville and Supernatural panels have not yet been announced. Take a look:

Just as Edgar Wright is bringing Scott Pilgrim to the con, his frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost may bring their upcoming sci-fi comedy Paul to SDCC as well. Paul is a film that many, including me, have mostly forgotten about as it was filmed around the same time as Pilgrim but has since been stuck in Post-Production without a solid release date. Pegg recently stated that the film will come out in April 2011 in the UK so a similar US release is expected.

Jon Favreau just confirmed via Twitter that he will be attending Comic-Con and talking about Cowboys & Aliens. They have only been filming for a few weeks though, so the chance they will show footage is still unknown. This is still an exciting development though, as it is the first confirmation that the film will be at the con.
