Incredible JoJo’s Ol’ Fashion Jam-Packed Jamboree
July 22, 2016 @ 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
San Diego Comic-Con is extending a bit further this year — to the Coronado Ferry Landing, with Incredible JoJo’s Ol’ Fashion Jam-Packed Jamboree.
Friday, July 22 – Sunday, July 24, the Coronado Ferry Landing will be transformed into an old-fashioned carnival from 4PM-8PM each day, where kids of all ages will get a chance to try a never-ending barrage of activities. Adventure seekers can take a short ferry ride directly from the San Diego Convention Center to the Coronado Ferry Landing, where adults and kids alike can try their hand at log-rolling, bobbing for apples, frog jumping, playing with a pack of wolves, and many more exciting events.
This is all possible due to the generous support from the restaurant and shops of the Coronado Ferry Landing and the San Diego Children’s Film Festival.
Each day will be capped off with an 8PM advance 4D screening of THE INCREDIBLE 4D ADVENTURES OF JOJO (and his annoying sister Avila), The 4D experience was developed in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and several Disney Imagineers, and it’s where an assortment of live practical effects (like rain, smells, fog, explosions) work in tandem with the movie on the screen. Audiences can experience the rain falling on their faces, see grandma’s shotgun explode over their heads, smell the raw meat sitting in a wolf trap, feel the rumble of stampeding cows, watch bubbles float overhead, and be dazzled by an entire world of glow worms coming alive in the very theater they are sitting.
Kids three and under can ride the Coronado Island ferry for free, or for 3+, it’s $4.75.
