WonderPost: The Nerdist, Thrilling Adventure Hour, Blood Drive, Greg Weisman, Mondo

WonderCon is officially less than a month away, and there’s still plenty to learn about the Anaheim convention. This week we’ve got word on a new programming track at WonderCon, news on The Thrilling Adventure Hour and The Nerdist sharing a panel, sad news for Mondo fans, and much more.

Here’s a look at the news you might have missed:

  • Looks like fan panels at WonderCon are being kicked out — to across the plaza, anyway. Comic-Con International announced a new track of programing devoted to fan culture, which will take place in the Elite Ballroom on the lobby level of the Anaheim Marriott. You can catch everything from Body Confidence and Positivity in Cosplay to Fangirl Foods: Where Pop Culture and Cuisine Collide to Cosplay & Kids. You can find more information, including the schedule on the Toucan Blog.

  • Not content with taking over moderating every panel at Comic-Con, The Nerdist is hosting a panel at WonderCon this year (though whether Chris Hardwick will be in attendance, and whether he will attempt to moderate himself, is unknown). The panel, called An Evening of Nerdist Podcasts: Nerdist Writers Panel, Nerdist Comics Panel & Thrilling Adventure Hour, will split the Friday 7:30PM-10PM timeslot in Room 208 with, you guessed it, our friends at Thrilling Adventure Hour. You can also find the hilarious crew of TAH at SXSW later this month, at C2E2 in April, or all the way in Australia in May. More information is on their site.

  • If you’re a fan of Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, Young Justice), you won’t want to miss his WonderCon Spotlight panel. Weisman has confirmed via Twitter that he’ll be announcing one of his two new projects during the panel.

  • To the surprise of no one, Cartoon Voices will also be back this year – with Beware the Batman and Transformers Prime actress Sumalee Montano in tow. Mark Evanier will be moderating.

  • Illustrator Kate Carleton posted on Instagram that she will be selling prints at WonderCon 2015.

  • Neo Edmund, writer of film, tv, comics, and novels, posted on Twitter he will be at WonderCon 2015.

  • Artist and designer Amy Mebberson, most notably for her art featuring Disney princesses, posted on Twitter that her WonderCon pre-commissions are now closed.

  • Gabby Zapata revealed on Tumblr the artwork of her six-piece mermaid button set that will be making its debut at WonderCon.
