Under the Tents: Stanley Lau, Icon Heroes, Mark Alvarado, Daniel Presedo

The long holiday weekend caught us napping, but we never really sleep. We may have fallen a little behind, but it doesn’t take us long to catch up. There’s always plenty of news, so we present to you more of what you can find this year at SDCC.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Lesbian writer and activist P. Kristen Enos informed us via Twitter that she expects to moderate the “LGBTQ Geek Year in Review” panel for the fourth year in a row.

  • Stanley “Artgerm” Lau drew inspiration from the Wonder Woman mania sweeping the world right now to bring us “Wonder Woman Descend.” We’ll see if he brings it to SDCC with him.

  • From one DC super heroine to another. Icon Heroes released some teaser images for their new Supergirl action figure. They didn’t release much else, except that the full reveal will come at SDCC 2017. Look for them, and the Girl of Steel, at Booth #3345.

  • Artist Mark Alvarado is excitedly counting the days to SDCC 2017 like the rest of us. Unlike the rest of us, he also tweeted his variant cover for Surrounded by Death, which he’ll have available at SDCC 2017.

  • Photoshop Imagineer Daniel Presedo is already making plans for “THE Photoshop Panel” at SDCC this year. We’ll have to see who he’s able to bring to the table.

  • Jason Bischoff, Director of Global Consumer Products for Power Rangers & Saban Brands, promises to blow our minds with the Power Rangers stuff he’s bringing to SDCC this year. Sounds like Bandai has something awesome on the way.

  • If you miss Avatar (not the James Cameron one), the annual Avatar Legacy Fan Panel is back, and a great way to celebrate Avatar and The Legend of Korra.
