‘Syfy Live From Comic-Con’ Guest Schedule Announced

Tickets for Syfy Live From Comic-Con were gone in a flash — but the question has remained for which guest stars will be appearing on the Thursday, July 20 – Saturday, July 22 tapings hosted by Zachary Levi.

The actual episodes will be airing on TV nightly at 11PM PT, but those who were lucky enough to score tickets will need to be at the Marriott Marquis & Marina for the 3:30PM tapings.

It’s entirely possible that more guests will be added to this list — but here are the episode descriptions, which list some guests, for each of the dates:

Thursday, July 20

Host Zachary Levi, with guests Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, geek out around the genre’s biggest event.

Friday, July 21

Host Zachary Levi, with guests Alan Tudyk and Karen Gillan, geek out around the genre’s biggest event.

Saturday, July 22

Host Zachary Levi, with guests Charlize Theron and the cast of “Doctor Who,” geek out around the genre’s biggest event.

Most of those names are not surprising, except for one — Karen Gillan. It seems unlikely that she would be there for any kind of Doctor Who surprise reunion since the cast of the BBC series is on the following night, which leaves two possibilities. One, perhaps we are still getting some kind of surprise something at the convention for the upcoming JumanjiWelcome to the Jungle, even if it’s not a Hall H panel. Or, two, and more likely — even though Marvel just went all out at D23 on Avengers: Infinity War, maybe we’re still getting something for the upcoming film at Comic-Con (in addition to the previously announced Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther presence). With Michael Rooker also over at the Fandom Wikia FANDOM FEST at the Petco Interactive Zone, that now marks two Guardians of the Galaxy actors.

As io9’s Germain Lussier hinted on our podcast, Marvel Studio may also be planning something big for their 10th anniversary at San Diego Comic-Con, which could possibly result in cast from multiple films showing up, even if not to debut new footage. After all, they’ve got 90 minutes this year. That’s a lot of time to fill if it really is just two films.

Either way — are you excited about this guest line-up? Let us know in the comments.
