Marvel TV Returns to San Diego Comic-Con 2018 with Panels, Autographs, Offsite

Marvel may not be in Hall H this year, but you’ll still find them all over the convention center with panels and autograph sessions for Marvel’s Iron Fist, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, The Gifted, Legion, and the Marvel animation series.

First, the bad news: There won’t be a panel for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but they will have an autograph session on Saturday, July 22 at the Marvel booth. Actress Chloe Bennet is confirmed for the Marvel Rising animated series panel, so she’s at least a safe bet to be in attendance.

Now, onto the good news: Freeform will be bringing Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger to the Experience at Comic-Con on Petco Park, Thursday, July 19 – Sunday, July 22. You’ll be able to step into a physical experience where participants are harnessed to a bungee and propelled backwards from the force of their powers, like characters Tyrone and Tandy in the series. A slow-motion recording will capture the moment, and you’ll be able to share with on social media. Fans can also stop by the ROXXON Corp station to create their own customized ROXXON Corp badge and lanyard. Each badge will include a secret code that is connected to a wide range of prizes from Sony PlayStation Vue and Freeform. After receiving their customized badge, fans will be able to pose for a photo with the ROXXON Corp sign.

You can find Marvel’s Iron Fist in Ballroom 20 on Thursday, July 19 with “surprise guests”, and Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger in Ballroom 20 on Friday with series stars Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Emma Lahana, Ally Maki. On the animated side, you can catch your first look at the new Marvel animated series Marvel Rising with some stacked voice talent, or catch the usual Marvel Animation Presents panel on Sunday, July 22.

There’s also the previously announced panels for Legion and The Gifted.

THE GIFTED

LEGION

“Legion” is the story of David Haller, a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen. Along with a team of other extraordinarily gifted people, David learned to accept his true self and set out to defeat The Shadow King, who was on a path to attaining infinite and world-ending power. In season two, a series of mind-bending twists and turns called into question who is the hero, and who is the villain. Legion is based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz.
