REPORT: ‘The Expanse’ Still Has Possibility of Landing at San Diego Comic-Con 2018

It’s not confirmed, but The Expanse star Cas Anvar was recently asked on Twitter if there was a chance for the series to be at San Diego Comic-Con – and Anvar replied, “It’s looking like a go.”

The series – which is owned by Alcon Entertainment – was cancelled by Syfy in May of this year. However, a few days later, Amazon announced that they would be picking up the series for a fourth season. There’s been some question since then whether that late announcement, and the shift in network, would mean that it would skip San Diego Comic-Con this year – but Anvar’s tweet should give The Expanse fans some hope.

We should note, however, that Anvar has signed autographs alone before in the Autograph Area in the Sails Pavilion, so it’s also possible that Anvar could show up without the rest of his cast and crew.

However, we’ve also heard they’ll be doing another expansive (no pun intended) offsite again this year, in a similar vein to last year’s The Expanse Escape Room – so we would put our money on something really exciting happening at San Diego.

Are you excited for a potential return of The Expanse? Let us know in the comments.
