Artist Joey Spiotto knows a little something about creating — he’s been doing so for more than 25 years. The New York Times Bestselling illustrator and author of Little Troublemaker, Grumpy Unicorn, Alien Next Door, and beyond has long been a mainstay in Artist Alley at both San Diego Comic-Con and WonderCon, where you’ll find his popular “Storytime – A Little Art Book” and “High Fidelity” print series that span dozens of fandoms and are always fan favorites.
Now, he’s celebrating “Creators” with his new art show through Gallery 1988, which features 30 new pieces of art focused on some of the most beloved creators of our lifetime. That list includes some of the biggest names in film, music, late night talk, and beyond, including George Lucas, Guillermo del Toro, PeeWee Herman, Greta Gerwig, Dolly Parton, Conan O’Brien, Jim Henson, Hideo Kojima, Freddie Mercury, Taylor Swift, and more.
Each of the 30 pieces are available as 8″x10″ open run prints for $20 each (plus shipping; or if you’re local to SoCal, you can also select to pick them up at Gallery 1988 in Glendale).
Many of these prints will also be making their way to San Diego Comic-Con this summer, so go ahead and pencil in #BB-15 in Artists Alley to your to-do list for the con to celebrate the magic of creation.
