Warner Bros. Comic-Con 2014 Bag Designs Revealed

The bags are back!

Each year, Warner Bros. provides bags to every San Diego Comic Con attendee upon onsite check-in, and this year is no different. Just as with the 2013 design, the bags are smaller and more compact, enough so that they can double as a backpack (though unlike last year, the capes are gone).

This year’s bags will feature 13 different designs, including Arrow, Constantine, The Flash, The Following, Gotham, iZombie, Mike Tyson Mysteries, The Originals, Supernatural, Teen Titans Go!, The Vampire Diaries, and two DC Comics bags – one celebrating the 75th anniversary of Batman, and another highlighting the classic Batman 1960’s television series.

The reversible side of each bag will feature Comic-Con International.

BURBANK, Calif. (July 17, 2014) — The bags are back! Comic-Con 2014 attendees hoping for a colorful and commemorative keepsake bag to hold their best swag are once again in luck. For the fifth year running, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Comic-Con have teamed up to produce and distribute the official bag of Comic-Con, which will be distributed to fans when checking it at the Con. The highly coveted bag, which can also be worn conveniently as a backpack, has been called a “must-have” by Variety and Comic-Con’s “ubiquitous accessory” by Entertainment Weekly.

  • More than 130,000 of the bags have been produced and will be provided to Comic-Con attendees throughout the convention.
  • The all-new 2014 edition again features backpack styling and features 13 different designs.
  • Designed by Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing, each bag features double-sided artwork, with the all-new Comic-Con 2014 official design on one side and the other side highlighting titles from the Studio’s TV series and the 75th anniversary of Batman.
  • Current Warner Bros. Television and Warner Bros. Animation series featured on the SDCC bags are Arrow, Constantine, The Flash, The Following, Gotham, iZOMBIE, Mike Tyson Mysteries, The Originals, Supernatural, Teen Titans Go! and The Vampire Diaries.
  • And two of the bags will feature DC Comics’ legendary caped crusader: one design will celebrate the 75th anniversary celebration of Batman, and another will highlight the classic and iconic Batman TV series from 1966.

OK, want the Main Comic Con one, want the Flash one & want the Teen Titans Go one, I know I will need to try to get the Supernatural one for a friend. So can you get one each day? Do you get to pick which one you get? Help a noob out.

  • Fenlaf M. Lupin

the batman looks really great but its gonna be so hard to get :/ and this design is really useful, last year I just let my regular backpack at the hostel and went with the SDCC bag instead

  • Terry

Last year I went, they gave us a random one. If you have a weekend pass, it’s only one bag per person as far as I know for the whole weekend. If you didn’t get the bag you wanted, you can always trade with other attendees.

I hope that answers your question.

  • Pyramid

You are given a bag and you unfortunately CANNOT choose. Totally puzzled by the Mike Tyson bag. The guy was a convicted rapist.

  • It is only one bag per person. You get the bag when you get your badge. And you do not have a choice. But, I have always successfully traded someone for the bag I wanted. One year, I just tacked a sign that said “Will trade for Supernatural” on it and had a trader in 15 minutes. Last year I traded within 5 minutes of getting the bag.

  • Aside from trading for a bag you want…also remember that if you participate in the San Diego Blood Bank drive you get a bag (and some other goodies) from them as well.

  • Denz

ahh good to know, a blood drive is always a good cause

  • Denz

    thanks

I’ll be in the hunt for the Supernatural one! I really like the design this year… though I miss the cape 😉

  • Christina

Awww. No Big Bang Theory this year? That’s ok…totally will be on the hunt for an Arrow bag!

I really want the supernatural one!!!!! I will have to hawk eye the bags lol

  • Denz

sounds like a lot of trading goes on both on the floor and all over the convention as people try to get the bag they want. So hopefully you get the one you want.

  • Bat_girl

i did trade for an arrow one in 2012, so i might be faced with doing that again lol

Supernatural! Can’t believe they are making a CHILDREN’S carton starring a convicted rapist. If I get the Tyson bag I’m gonna puke. A new low in the entertainment industry. What next, a Jeffrey Dahmner cookbook?

  • Lantern Atrain

Mike Tyson a children’s cartoon? On Adult Swim? What part of any of Adult Swim’s programming is for children? Don’t get me wrong I don’t think he deserves a show either but it defintely will not be a children’s cartoon.

  • One year I just pinned a sign to my bag that said “Will trade for Supernatural.” And wore the bag in line to Ballroom 20. I had a trade within 15 minutes of getting the bag. Probably easiest on the first day when everyone has just gotten bags and will have them. Or closer to the badge pickup on other days.

Last year I picked up my badge at Town & Country and there was lots of trading happening right outside badge pickup.

The Tyson bag is a barf bag. No Big Bang Theory??? WBs most popular and highest rated show.
