Wi-Fi is coming.
While inside the convention center, San Diego Comic-Con through the use of sponsors has been able to provide attendees with Wi-Fi for several years, there’s good news for the rest of downtown San Diego this year.
In a press conference, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Cox Communications, and Comic-Con International announced that they’re partnering to offer free wifi all around the downtown San Diego area from July 8-24,2016.
“We are here to announce three things that people love: Baseball, comics, and free and fast internet, are coming together in a big way this July. The city of San Diego is teaming up with Cox Communications to offer free Wi-Fi downtown during the 2016 All-Star game, and Comic-Con International,” Faluconer said in the press conference.
There will be more than 100 hotspots downtown. To utilize the network, just find a “Cox Wi-Fi Free” network on your Wi-Fi device and follow the simple directions.
We’ll update with more information as it becomes available.
