Go big or go home appears to be Netflix’s motto for San Diego Comic-Con, as the online streaming network will be out in full force this year.
Attendees will get three Hall H panels – starting with a split panel on Thursday, July 20 for Bright and Death Note. Attendees will get a sneak peek at David Ayer’s new film Bright, which is set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have co-existed since the beginning of time. Stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramirez and David Ayer will be on hand to offer exclusive footage and Q&A. Death Note, based on the Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, will also be featured with cast and filmmakers on hand to debut footage and discuss the project’s transition from graphic novel to film.
Then on Friday, Marvel’s The Defenders will be taking to the Hall H stage at 5:15PM, as stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones (plus “guest stars galore”) as they offer a glimpse into the upcoming series on Netflix.
On Saturday, things start getting strange with Stranger Things in Hall H at 3PM. While no cast members are listed yet, they promise “never-before-seen footage from the second season” that will debut on October 31. [UPDATE] Actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers on the series, confirmed he will be in attendance.
