Under the Tents 2024: Thursday Rapid Fire Edition Starring the T.M.N.T.

Look, I’m gonna level with you. It’s been a day. It’s actually been a long week. The team has been hard at work gathering, writing up, and delivering all the SDCC news we can find. The inboxes are pinging at all times. Our phones are blowing up. We hope you’ve found our work helpful and enjoyable but, frankly, I’m worn out so this here is gonna be a no-nonsense Under the Tents. I’m gonna get right to the point because I know you have panels to read up on, commissions to consider, and exclusives to drool over. This writer’s nonsense? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Let’s get right into it:

  • After all of this Comic-Con news, could you use some self care? Luckily, Ninobuni is offering exactly that, with their 8″ vinyl “Self Care”, focused on highlighting mental health. It goes along with their new book, I’m Not OK Today. Stop by Booth #2549 to pick up both.

  • Star Wars The Mandalorian actor Leilani Shiu revealed the new Gentle Giant figure of her character and shared that you can pick on up for $80 (plus a free pin) at Booth #2607 where she will also be signing all four days from 1pm – 2pm.

  • Little Friends of Printmaking remind you to enjoy the things in life that don’t require a screen with this Log Off patch design, available at SDCC.

  • Bob Draws Stuff and that stuff includes giant kaiju. These two pals are blind bag mystery prints that you can score for $1. That’s right, $1. Sounds like all your holiday shopping is taken care of.

  • Mary “Zoralita” Bellamy has got game, that’s pin game, I mean. These exclusives will be over in Small Press at N-04.

  • Charles Stickney and 600 Kickstarter backers can’t be wrong, right? The White Ash SDCC exclusive will have a rose gold foil logo.

  • Sick of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles yet? Me neither. Artist Nate Lovett couldn’t help himself. He had to draw this T.M.N.T. Mutant Mayhem print in the style of the original game art. You maniac, Nate! Get one at Booth #EE-04 in Artist Alley.

  • How about no? Now are you sick of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Me neither. Rob Retiano made a sweet print for SDCC.

  • Rylend Grant and David Avallone will be waiting for you at the Hilton Bayfront on Saturday, July 27 at 9pm for the Writers Block Comic-Con Meetup. It’s not as menacing as I made it sound, truly.

  • What about Ultraman? Are you sick of Ultraman yet? Me neither. Mill Creek Entertainment will be at the Tsuburaya Productions booth with all the Ultraman goodies, including an exclusive edition of Ultraman Taiga. That’s Booth #3729, by the way.

  • Liza Shumska has to go back. And you can go get this Lost inspired print by her at the Hero Complex Gallery booth, #4501, at SDCC. Go see them and tell Tim I said “Hello!”

  • Plans change all the time. Felix Comics Art’s plans for a Bryan Lee O’Malley art sale have changed, but not their plans for this sweet exclusive variant for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2, available during Bryan’s signing at their Booth #4612. Nope, still not sick of the Turtles.

So, that’s it I guess. That’s the end. There’s nothing left to show you, nothing left to see. Like Ferris Bueller said, “It’s over. Go home!”

Ugh. Fine. Just one more. Let’s make it a good one.

I am stupidly excited about this exclusive from Toy Temple. Puffer Jacket Snoopy is my JAM. Please, everyone, don’t go to Booth #814 and buy up all of these, please leave one for me. I need him.
