As we previously reported, rumor had it that the Course of the Force relay race would be extending their run to a San Francisco start. Coinciding with a Late Night with Jimmy Fallon appearance by Chris Hardwick (@nerdist), the Course of the Force web site made the official announcement that the race will be starting at the famed Skywalker Ranch in Marin on July 9th!
The 2nd annual Course of the Force relay race will take place in the week leading up to Comic-Con. The Star Wars themed race – complete with lightsaber batons – will make several stops throughout California, ending in San Diego on Tuesday, July 16. According to the official announcement, Course of the Force will be setting up at the Chuck Jones Gallery from July 18 through 20.
Registration is also now open: Race entry is $150, with all proceeds going to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The registration fee includes a customized Hasbro lightsaber, exclusive Course of the Force swag bag and “the experience of a lifetime”. And a little cardiovascular exercise, which is never a bad thing. Visit our events page for registration info and other details on the event.
