Do you hear that sound? That’s the sound of thousands (okay, hundreds? dozens?) of Community fans rejoicing at this news – thanks to TV Guide Magazine, Community will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con this summer. Six seasons and a Ballroom 20 panel!
After Community was canceled by NBC earlier this year, many fans assumed that we had seen the last of the series at San Diego Comic-Con in last year’s stellar Hall H panel. However, if there is one show to never count out of the game, it’s Community – and so along with the news that the series will be returning to Yahoo Screen for a sixth season this fall, TV Guide Magazine has announced that it will be bringing creator Dan Harmon, producer Chris McKenna, and “much of the cast” to San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 24, at 2:15PM in Ballroom 20 for a tribute panel fittingly called “Greendale Forever: TV Guide Magazine’s Tribute to Community”.
From the article on TV Guide, here’s the excerpt:
Will the Community gang be back at Comic-Con this summer? Yes — thanks to TV Guide Magazine. Harmon, McKenna and much of the cast will be at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Thursday, July 24, at 2:15 p.m. in Ballroom 20 to participate in our panel “Greendale Forever: TV Guide Magazine‘s Tribute to Community.” Pop pop!
There have been questions circulating about which cast members would be returning to the series, with only Joel McHale and Jim Rash officially signed on. TV Guide reports that the rest of the main cast, including Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, and Ken Jeong are also on track to return – meaning the Ballroom 20 panel should be packed, as usual.
