IDW Publishing has announced that in addition to bringing the “highly anticipated” Dave Gibbons Watchmen: Artifact Edition to Comic-Con for its debut, the publishing company is also now offering a very unique experience to fans.
Have you ever wanted to meet Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons? How about have dinner with him? Well, this may just be your lucky chance – as IDW Publishing has announced that it will be presenting “An Evening With Dave Gibbons” on Thursday, July 24.
Each person who attends will receive the “ultra-rare” exclusive variant of the Dave Gibbons Watchmen: Artifact Edition, with only 25 copies ever made available, specifically for this event. The cover of the variant features a painting by Gibbons of Rorschach.
Attendees will also enjoy a fine meal in a private dining room in downtown San Diego an an undisclosed location and time, where Gibbons will also be signing the limited books and doing a small head sketch in each. A photographer will be on hand to document the evening.
Tickets are $500 before fees, and and available on IDW’s website.
For those who don’t want to spend quite that much, the regular version – which features 100 story-page scans all shot from Gibbons original art, will be available at the IDW Publishing Booth #2643.
