Welcome to the GeekShot Photo Exclusive Series. This will be a weekly post featuring cool, interesting, or just plain awesome moments we have captured during San Diego Comic-Con. Each week we’ll post a photo by Beth or James of GeekShot Photography. We may include a short story about the photo, but sometimes we’ll just let the photo speak for itself.
About This Photo
Star Wars protesters cosplayers at WonderCon 2015.
Sometimes it’s just a matter of timing. I was making my way through the fountain area on my way to the Arena for the Flash panel when these cosplayers got up to pose for photos. Needless to say, I stopped and grabbed a few photos while they were posing. The protest sign is a spot on copy of the ones that have been showing up at SDCC and other conventions in recent years. In fact, at first glance I was shocked to see a protester inside the cordoned off area. The light saber sign handle is a nice touch.
There’s a whole lot of awesome in this photo, from the weathered Stormtrooper to the TutuTrooper’s pose to the protest sign. I’m glad I was in the right place at the right time.
