EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Ballesteros’ ‘Captain America: Civil War’ SDCC Print Reveal

Anyone who reads our site probably knows that we’re big fans of Patrick Ballesteros work, and for good reason – his kidified pop culture artwork is simultaneously unique, adorable, and perfectly geeky. In other words, it’s exactly the kind of thing you stumble across on the exhibit floor at San Diego Comic-Con and stop for.

That’s especially true of his 25 Cent Wonders collection, which features kid versions of some of your favorite characters, riding old-school mechanical rides like you used to find outside grocery stores. Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Rocket Racoon riding a 25 cent bobbing Groot? Done. The Supernatural gang in an Impala-sized ride? Check.

Just like in previous years at San Diego Comic-Con, Ballesteros will be bringing 25 Cent Wonders exclusive prints to the con – and while we’ve showed off some of the prints in our Under the Tents column, like these Civil War prints that feature Team Cap (or “Team Stevie”) and Team Iron Man (“Team Starky”), we’re excited to debut the third installment in that trilogy.

The third piece, “Thanks for the Invite”, features Thor and Hulk on a broken down, out of order Quinjet – the perfect look at just where our missing heroes were during Captain America: Civil War.

Each print is a limited edition of less than 100, and is signed and hand numbered by Ballesteros. You can pick it up at Artist Alley Table DD-08 for only $12.

You can find more of Ballesteros’ work on his website.
