GeekShot Exclusive Photo Series Vol. 4 (Week 3)

Welcome to the GeekShot Photo Exclusive Series. This will be a regularly recurring post featuring cool, interesting, or just plain awesome moments we have captured during San Diego Comic-Con and WonderCon over the years. Each post will include a photo by Beth or James of GeekShot Photography. We may include a short story about the photo, but sometimes we’ll just let the photo speak for itself.

About This Photo

Edgar Wright at the Marvel panel in Hall H during San Diego Comic-Con 2012.

Oh to think what might have been. Having Edgar Wright doing a Marvel movie would have been awesome. I enjoyed Ant-Man but I think it could have been so much more.

In past years we’ve seen a lot of “this is coming soon” kind of sneak peeks at upcoming projects. There was Avatar, Tron, Iron Man, and many more. But not everything has shown up in theaters (or on your comic shelves) as intended. Or at all in some cases. From things that get made but with different people, like Ant-Man, to something that never showed up, like Guillermo del Toro’s Haunted Mansion, we’ve gotten a lot of teases that haven’t panned out. It wouldn’t be Comic-Con without sneak peeks though, so I hope they continue to bring them.

Have you seen any sneak peeks that fizzled? Let us know in the comments.
