There’s good news and there’s bad this year for Adventure Time fans. The bad news, obviously, is that the series will be wrapping up sometime in the next year. The good news, though, is that you’ll get a chance to see the series off at San Diego Comic-Con 2018.
Attendees will get a chance to say farewell to Adventure Time on Friday, July 20 in the Hilton Bayfront’s Indigo Ballroom, in a panel set for 10AM-11:15AM. There will be a live musical performance featuring some of your favorite tracks from the series, along with special guests and an exclusive series finale trailer. No word yet on which cast members will be in attendance, but Jeremy Shada already confirmed he would be attending for the series.
Adventure Time will also have a signing on Friday, July 20 from 3PM-4PM in the Autograph Area AA02.
Steven Universe fans will want to mark two panels on their schedule, starting with Thursday, July 19 from 4:30PM-5:30PM in the Horton Grand Theatre, where series creator Rebecca Sugar, Estelle, and experts from the Dove Self-Esteem Project will host the “Superheroes of Body Positivity Panel” to discuss the importance of body positivity in both the real and animated world. Then, on Saturday, July 21, Sugar and cast members Estelle, Michaela Dietz, Deedee Magno Hall, and Zach Callison will be part of the official Steven Universe panel in the Indigo Ballroom from 10AM-10:50AM.
Rebecca Sugar will be signing Insight Editions Steven Universe Deluxe Hardcover Blank Sketchbook: Rebecca Sugar Edition on Friday, July 20 from 12PM-1PM at the Insight Editions Booth #3721. The Steven Universe cast will be signing on Saturday, July 21 from 12:50PM-1:50PM.
The booth (#3735) will also be decked out for Steven Universe, as fans will be able to step inside the world of the show at Cartoon Network’s booth, where they’ll be greeted by “large, iconic figures of the Crystal Gems above a crystal landscape. A screen embedded in the crystal will show what’s waiting inside – the chance to be in an epic parallax scene with their favorite characters.”
Cartoon Network will also host “Cartoon Network Creators: Drawing on Inspiration” on Saturday, July 21 at 2PM in Room 25ABC, featuring Matt Burnett and Ben Levin from Craig of the Creek, Daniel Chong from We Bare Bears, Diego Molano from Victor & Valentino, and Julia Pott from Summer Camp Island, and moderated by Ian Jones-Quartey from OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes.
The creators will be signing autographs in the Autograph Area of Sails on Saturday, July 21 from 12:50PM-1;50PM and again from 5PM-6PM.

THE HER UNIVERSE FASHION SHOW: CARTOON NETWORK JUNIOR DESIGNER SHOWCASE

The 5th annual Her Universe Fashion Show is a design competition where 24 designers compete with their original “geek couture” designs for the chance to win the ultimate prize – the opportunity to design a Her Universe fashion collection for Hot Topic. Cartoon Network has sponsored the junior designer contest, where youth ages 5-17 had the opportunity to submit designs inspired by The Powerpuff Girls in celebration of the 20th Anniversary. Four winners were chosen and they will reveal their designs during the Cartoon Network Junior Designer showcase during the Her Universe Fashion Show. Hosted by actress and Her Universe Founder, Ashley Eckstein, the show will once again be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on Thursday, July 19th. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
