Nerdist returns to San Diego Comic-Con this year, but they’re taking their very popular offsite and transforming it – into Nerdist House.
Nerdist will take over the Sparks Gallery (530 Sixth Avenue) Thursday, July 19 – Sunday, July 22, for four days of entertainment (the conversations are back!), meet & greets, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, a VR experience, and more. Best of all, the event is free, and no badge is required.
Fans who stop by will be treated to an in-depth look at the shows of Nerdist, Geek & Sundry, and Alpha, including live editions of Talkin’ Toons Live with host Rob Paulsen and special guests Maurice LaMarche and Randy Rogel. You’ll also be treated to live editions of Nerdist News Talks Back, Alpha Comic Book Club with DC Comics, Natural Selection with Kyle Hill and Dan Casey, Because Science Live, Geek & Sundry, and Geek & Sundry Horror.
[UPDATE July 10] Daily from 10AM-6PM, Legendary Television will present “Robo Romance,” a free-to-fans interactive photo installation with ROBOT from Lost in Space —who, following season one, found itself at the center of a collective internet crush by series viewers. Participants can customize the setting of their photo meet up with “Robot,” including a special romantic background for enamored fans. There will also be free Lost in Space giveaways daily.

They’re also bringing back the fan parties, with two events to choose from this year. For a more casual hang, stop by on Thursday, July 19 from 7PM-8PM for the Alpha Book Club Happy Hour, where you can join Maude Garrett, Hector Navarro, and Rachel Heine for a glass of wine – or, if you want the full party experience, there will be a 200th Episode of Bizarre States Party on Saturday, July 21 from 8PM-12AM with Bizarre Streets inspired food, beverages, and surprises, and IHEARTCOMIX DJ Franki Chan.
Finally, Nerdist, Geek & Sundry, and Alpha merchandise will be available at the event, including exclusive live-printing t-shirts for Because Science.
Alpha members will receive exclusive Fast Pass and Priority Access wristbands at Nerdist House events and parties.
