[UPDATE] Comic-Con International has also now launched sign-ups for select autographs at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. This includes the autographs with lotteries typically held in the Sails Pavilion, including Warner Bros., FOX, and DC Comics. You have between now and July 12 at 12PM to mark the signings you are interested in participating in.
The process is virtually identical to the one for exclusives time slots (and outlined below). According to CCI, there will be no onsite opportunities to be selected to participate in any of the exclusive signings.
[PREVIOUS] We’ve been hinting that it’s coming, but it’s now official: Rather than doing ticket distribution through the Sails Pavilion for their busiest exhibitor booths, Comic-Con International is now moving to an Online Lottery for San Diego Comic-Con 2018. And it’s now open!
You can select “time slots” for Funko, Hasbro, LEGO, and UCC Distributing this year. If you’re interested, you must login to your Member ID and click the “Exclusives” tab. From there, you can load the Exclusives Portal – and select the time slots you are interested in trying for. It appears to be open to everyone except those with an Exhibitor badge, which is a change from the earlier Mondo lottery.
Submitting for a time slot does not guarantee you will be selected as a winner. You must be 13 years or older and have a valid Comic-Con 2018 badge linked to your Comic-Con Member ID account for the day(s) which you are selecting for.
You can submit for as many time slots as you like, but for Hasbro and Funko, it appears that you can only win one time slot for the entire convention. For UCC and LEGO, it appears that you can win one “per exclusive” — for instance, for LEGO, you can only win once for their Star Wars figure set, but you could also potentially win for a Marvel Minifigure.
You have between now (yes, RIGHT NOW) and July 12, 2018 at 12PM PT to submit. Then, winners will be selected at random on or around July 13 and will receive an e-mail to login to the Exclusives Portal to check if you win or not.
We fully expect autograph lotteries to be next.
[UPDATE June 28] Some attendees worried that some of the wording in the Terms & Conditions meant that they couldn’t submit for more than one exclusive time slot per company. Here’s a look at the wording that had caused some confusion:
“Multiple submissions per exclusive are not allowed. In the event that Comic-Con deems you have made multiple requests per exclusive or have acted in bad faith with respect to the Exclusives Portal, you shall be excluded from participating and consequently ineligible to be selected for an exclusive signing or exclusive merchandise purchasing time slot.”
However, we have confirmed with Comic-Con International that “this rule is an attempt to prevent those who may have more than one Member ID from making multiple requests”. So you can submit for as many timeslots as you are eligible for – but again, you can only win up to one total for the convention from Funko and Hasbro – and one “per exclusive” for LEGO and UCC Distributing.

Having trouble with the Exclusives Portal? After logging into your Member ID and clicking on the Exclusives tab, you should hopefully see this:
After clicking that link, you’ll be taken directly to the Exclusives Portal, where you’ll be welcomed.
Scroll down just a bit, and you’ll see the many, many options:
You’ll need to click “Click here to agree to the Terms & Conditions” before you can add to your cart. Next, click “I AGREE”.
, and then you’ll be able to ADD TO CART. From here, it will open up a new pop-up, and you’ll need to “Click Here to Submit”.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive a message notifying you that your interest has been confirmed, and they’ll e-mail you at a later date on or around July 13 to alert you if you’re a winner.
