Tamashii Nations is hitting San Diego Comic-Con hard this year, with a promise that this year will be “bigger than ever”. They’re bringing with them the Dragon Ball North American tour, which you can read about over here – but you’ll have to get the exclusives (as well as other items, like Power Rangers and Pacific Rim) over at Booth #3545 at the Bluefin / Tamashii Nations booth. In the past, it’s simply been first come/first serve for distribution, but we’ll have to stay tuned for if that changes for 2018.
Here’s a look at what you’ll be seeing from Tamashii Nations this July:
Tamashii Nations has released a lot more information about several of their San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, but let’s start with Soul of Chogokin GX-72B Megazord Black Version. This special edition Megazord Black Version has been designed exclusively for the 25th Anniversary of the Power Rangers brand. Megazord features gleaming, plated die-cast parts, and is particularly suited to commemorating the brand’s “silver anniversary.” In addition to the black, silver, and gold commonly used in the black versions of Soul of Chogokin series figures, the Megazord Black Version adds the color green, the signature color of the Dragonzord, making the Dragonzord Fighting Mode and Mega Dragonzord combinations all the more spectacular.
Tamashii also showed off a better view of a S.H. Figuarts Red Ranger, which features a new head sculpt of Jason from the original series. The set includes the figure, a power sword, a ranger stick, a ranger stick gun, a long ranger stick, and interchangeable hands. It will retail for $60.
To go along with Jason, Tamashii is also bringing a S.H. Figuarts Green Ranger, which features a new head sculpt of Tommy from the original series. The Green Ranger set includes the figure, a dragon dagger, and interchangeable hands. It will retail for $60.
And finally, we have Robot Spirits <Side Jaeger> Pacific Rim: Uprising Siberia Battle Set. This exclusive 2-pack features the Jaegers Gipsy Avenger and Obsidian Fury from Pacific Rim: Uprising. They have additional markings and painted details from their original retail release, including Gipsy Avenger’s thigh markings and Obsidian Fury’s orange lights. Both Jaegers are packed in battle poses, and the inner box art depicts the Siberian landscape. The outer box features a special metallic finish and foil-embossed logos. The two Jaeger figures come equipped with interchangeable hands for both, and an interchangeable forearm for Gipsy Avenger. The set will retail for $70.
Additionally, as part of their Dragon Ball tour, Tamashii Nations will have an event-exclusive S.H. Figuarts Perfect Cell Color Edition. It will retail for $60 at Booth #3545.
Want more Dragon Ball goodness? Tamashii will also have a Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Broly event exclusive at Booth #3545 for $75.
They’ll also have a Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan God SS (Super Saiyan) Vegito event exclusive at their booth for $60.
Finally, Tamashii will have a Bandai Tamashii Nations Effect Energy Aura event exclusive, which recreates the aura of a character as the “power-up”. It will retail for $25.
