WonderPost: Jeff Pina, Rachel Reed, Toddland, Nick Kremenek

We are one week (and a little more daylight in some places) closer to WonderCon 2020. As of publication time, WonderCon is proceeding as normal: therefore we will be proceeding as normal, bringing you all the news that our intrepid researchers can dig up. Today we have a few more art peeks from Ethan Castillo, Jeff Pina’s new graphic novel, enchanting art from Rachel Reed, alternative movie posters from Nick Kremenek, and so much more.

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

  • The creators of Zombie Gnomes have been BUSY! They gave us a little peek inside their workshop and are bringing all these fun and freaky creatures to WonderCon in April.

  • Illustrator and designer Emilie Vo posted on Twitter what looks to be a delightful pair of prints that she is excited to introduce at WonderCon. You’ll be able to find Emilie at C-49 in Anaheim.

  • Independent comic creator Terry Moore has WonderCon listed on his upcoming 2020 schedule. Moore’s Strangers In Paradise comics should be required reading for all comic fans.

  • Friend of the UBlog, Patrick Ballesteros, is chugging right along, adding this George Perez inspired Nightwing original to the plethora of originals he’ll have available during WonderCon.

  • Here’s some details about one of the special guest Spotlight Panels that will be on the schedule, current writer of Marvel’s Thor comic Donny Cates will be the host with the most when he moderates the panel for friend and fellow writer, Brian Michael Bendis.

  • Wasteland Comics recently received a shipment of prints that they will be bringing to WonderCon. Glad we’re not the only ones who get excited when things we order show up!

  • Creator Jeff Pina recently posted on Instagram that the first of a trio of graphic novels he’s releasing in 2020 will debut at WonderCon. You’ll be able to purchase Loss Of Signal: Fly Me To The Moon in person at the event, or via mail. Be sure to follow him on Instagram to find out how to pre-order for pick up.

  • Itching to hear some news about the Toddland exclusives? We have good new for you, you won’t have to wait much longer. We’ll share their exclusives and how you can pre-order them as soon as we find out.

  • Artist Jenisse Taylor is all about the mermaid spirit. She showed off these mermaid notepads that you’ll be able to purchase during WonderCon.

  • And while we’re talking about Jenisse… she has promised to share some of her convention prep tips in a series of Vlogs, coming soon! We’ll share those in upcoming Wonderposts.

  • The Hollywood Sci-Fi Museum will have a full Star Trek: The Next Generation Enterprise D Bridge set up at WonderCon and is looking to recruit a few volunteers to help them. You’ll earn a free badge in return for your service. Reach out if you can lend a hand.

  • Storyboard artist and creator of the web comic Warhead, Katrina Kuntsmann, set a fan’s mind at ease when she shared that she will be setting up shop at WonderCon in April.

  • Graphic artist and designer Nick Kremenek will be at booth C-36 at WonderCon with a whole slew of cool prints and tees. You’ll also be able to find him signing at the California Browncoats booth.
