This year, San Diego Comic-Con is taking you to Middle-earth, with a Hall H panel for Prime Video’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power TV series — but there’s more to celebrate.
TheOneRing.net, the long-standing fan-run site that chronicles all the news on The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, all things Tolkien, and everything in between, will be hosting a “Middle-earth Moot!” at the con this year, in conjunction with Prime Video.
On Friday, July 22, fans will be able to step into the world of the new series with a cosplay contest that rewards you with exclusive giveaways; themed decorations from The Rings of Power, exclusive TheOneRing.net swag, and more. Costumes from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, including Galadriel and Durin’s armors, will also be on display.
Food and drink will be provided. The party, which is from 6pm-8:30pm at an unspecified location, will be open to all (including non-badge holders), but you’ll first have to battle your way to securing a free ticket. And note that it will be one ticket per submission — there will be no plus one’s.
You can find more information on all of TheOneRing.net’s San Diego Comic-Con plans on their site.
