Marvel and D23: The Official Disney Fan Club have just announced the first D23 event for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con — the Hellfire Gala.
They’ll be bringing the living island of Krakoa to life for an event that will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of X-Men. Attendees will “get the chance to strike a pose, and enter an extraordinary event filled with fashion, fun, and forces to be reckoned with”.
[UPDATE May 22]
Attendees will be able to strut their stuff on “The Green Lagoon”, a green carpet inspired by the eclectic watering hole in Krakoa. Then they’ll step into the Hellfire Ballroom, a themed, lush space where “looks are served and justice is brought” on the dance floor. Venture further into the space and you’ll discover Lair X, dedicated to 60 years of iconic X-Men and mutant history. There will be activities here, as well as another dance floor, bar, seating area, and photo ops.
Attendees will receive a drink ticket that can be used for beer, house wine, well drink, soda, or bottled water — and will also receive a commemorative gift.
The event is set for Saturday, July 22 at 8pm at PARQ Nightclub, with tickets starting at $65 for a Gold Member, $85 for “X-pedited” Entry, or $125 for General Members (and $155 for General Member “X-pedited Entry). D23 members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three guests.
Tickets will launch on Wednesday, May 24 at 10am PT.
The event is 21+.
