Artist Nick Kremenek may not be physically attending San Diego Comic-Con this year (at least for now, it’s always possible something may change) — but he’s still celebrating the convention with online releases through his online shop for Dreamforger Studios. You can probably expect pieces for Firefly, Star Wars, Star Trek, and more to be unveiled this year.
Kremenek has been teasing his Project ReForge, and now we’ve got the first details. This new line sees Kremenek goes back to some of his older portrait pieces and giving them a “remastering” with tweaks and “HD retooling”. Best of all, if you had purchased the original print for one of the released Project ReForge recreations, then you can get the new print for FREE. You’ll simply need to provide proof of ownership and pay for shipping, and the new upgraded print will be yours for free.

Kremenek created new artwork — and will have roughly fifty 11″x17″ prints available of the regular version (a convention exclusive) for $30 at the booth. But the winner of the cosplay contest will receive a very limited 11″x17″ print on special metallic paper.
[UPDATE July 5]

This new 6″x6″ print features new updates like a reworked full color portrait art with new background, a new character dossier with fun facts from your friends at Professional Paranormal Investigations & Eliminations, Inc., added notes about when and “where” the photo was taken, a new character name plate in the style of the jumpsuit nametags, and more.
Like the others, it will be available for $15 closer to the convention through his online shop for Dreamforger Studios — or if you have the original print, simply show proof of ownership and you’ll receive the new print for free, minus shipping.

[UPDATE June 21]
Show your dead-ication to S-Mart with this year’s metal collector coin from artist Nick Kremenek.
This 1.75″ antique brass metal “S-Mart vs. Army of Darkness” 30th Anniversary Metal Collector Coin depicts the S-Mart logo on the front, to commemorate that it’s been 30 years since the day the Deadites appeared in one of their stores, alongside a sinister plaque for the Army of Darkness. In the background is a chainsaw/shotgun combo made famous similar to the one Ash used in the film.
The back of the coin features the dreaded Necronomicon Ex Mortis (The Book of the Dead), along with some ancient Sumerian text that you should definitely not read aloud.
The coin is a fun tongue-in-cheek “in world” creation, meant to be from a “real” S-Mart, so that you can support the cause by getting a commemorative coin to mark the 30th anniversary and know that S-Mart employees are now well equipped to handle the Deadites problem. It’s a “not only a keepsake but a reminder to never give up the fight for humanity. S-Mart® prides itself on customer service and we will be damned before we let any undead riff-raff hurt our patrons!”.
If you pre-order now for $20 on his site for shipping, and if you order now, you’ll also receive a 3″ glow-in-the-dark companion sticker for free, while supplies last.
