Tell me more, tell me more.
The Comic-Con Museum is launching their first-ever after-hours event series this month. You can join them for their new “Summer Night” series, in which you’re invited to five themed nights at the museum, where you’ll enjoy an interactive evening of cosplay, competitive puzzling (the best kind of puzzling), games, craft-making, and more.
The Summer Nights series will include events from 6pm-9pm for:
- Cosplay, Friday, June 14: When in doubt, overdress for this occasion. Cosplayers will strut their stuff, share tricks of the trade, put on a fashion show, and more …
- Dungeons & Dragons, Friday, June 21: Embark on an epic journey into the fantastical, where only you can decide your own fate.
- Competitive Puzzle Building, Friday, June 28: For those whose pandemic puzzle enthusiasm has not waned, compete with other teams to complete a 500-piece puzzle for the chance to win great prizes, including Comic-Con Museum–exclusive merchandise.
- Makerspace, Friday, July 12 (kid-friendly): In this hands-on crafting experience, guests will have the chance to explore, design, and create a variety of unique projects.
- Zombicide Game Night, Friday, July 19: Zombies are wreaking havoc across town, and the more you kill, the more they appear. How will you and your team survive?
That means the (announced) series will conclude the week before San Diego Comic-Con — but we have no doubts that the Museum has some fun things planned for the week of the con.
The series is free for all Museum members and $15 for the general public. While the regular Museum exhibits will not be open during these special evenings, you will be able to purchase snacks, beer, wine, and other beverages at all events except the Makerspace.
