Abbott Elementary is Bringing A.V.A. Fest to San Diego Comic-Con 2024

It’s official now: ABC is bringing Abbott Elementary to San Diego Comic-Con with the A.V.A. Fest (A Very Abbott Festival, one of the series’ best episodes), as announced by The Wrap.

Thursday through Sunday at the convention, fans can stop by the Fifth Avenue Landing immediately behind the convention center for an “unhinged” carnival activation. Attendees will find a variety of rides and attractions inspired by the series, including Mr. Johnson’s Closet of Curiosities, Gregory’s Garden Goofballs, and the Principal Ava-inspired swing ride “Finest One in, First One Out”.

Additional fun includes Barbara’s “Blessed and Pressed”, Melissa’s MVP Showdown, Janine’s “Reach for the Stars” challenge, and a quirky dunk tank experience.

To top it off, the Philadelphia Eagles Drumline will perform hourly, and a festival playlist curated by The Roots’ Questlove, Ava’s fictional former bandmate, will set the atmosphere.

The activation will be open:

  • Thursday, July 25 9:30am-7pm
  • Friday, July 26 9:30am-7pm
  • Saturday, July 27 9:30am-6:30pm
  • Sunday, July 28 9:30am-5pm
