It’s a very X-Men filled year at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and for good reason. X-Men ’97 is one of the hottest properties around at the moment, Wolverine is heading to the MCU with Deadpool & Wolverine out later this month, and the entire comics franchise is about to get a major overhaul.
Artist Dan Veesenmeyer will be celebrating all things X-Men at the con, and he’s got the pedigree to prove his longtime loyalty to the series. He got his start as a storyboard artist on X-Men: The Animated Series, before going on to do work for LEGO and Hasbro, including the gorgeous box art for the Marvel Legends X-Men: The Animated Series VHS Toy Line.
This year, you’ll find him at Booth #EE-24 with several new prints celebrating the series, including:
11×17 – $20
8.5″x11″ prints – $10 each
Veesenmeyer will be offering CGC witness signatures for $10, but all other signatures will be free of charge. He will also be offering quick sketch character portraits or remarques for $60, but if you missed out on his earlier commission slots, he won’t be able to do full commissions during the event.
That’s in part because he’s already got a busy schedule at San Diego Comic-Con, including two panels — a focus solely on his career, on Thursday, July 25 from 4pm-5pm in Grand 12 & 13 in the Marriott Marquis moderated by Michelle Waffle; as well as participating as a panelist on “Toy Stories: Collecting Memories & The Fandoms That Shaped Us” on Thursday at 6pm in Grand 10 & 11, also in the Marriott Marquis.
