Mitsuhiro Arita Heading Making San Diego Comic-Con Debut

The legendary illustrator Mitsuhiro Arita is heading to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time this year, alongside creator Stan Sakai, to promote their Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow collaboration.

Arita recently created variant covers for five issues of Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow, featuring his signature realistic and moody style. Together, the duo will be on hand at the convention (and it sounds like both will be appearing at Stan Sakai’s Booth #4807, though the exact booth schedule has not yet been revealed) to promote their work.

As announced by ScreenRant, Arita will also be on hand to promote his other recent projects, including the debut of his first cover on IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

“I am thrilled to attend SDCC, widely regarded as the pinnacle of pop culture conventions. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Sakai and his IP Usagi Yojimbo, illustrating covers that have opened many doors for me in the comic book industry,” Arita said in a statement.
