Nothing says we’re in the thick of “con season” quite like a triple dose of Under the Tents. But, here we are, with more announcements, more exclusives and more teases and more fun.
Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:
- Scott’s Collectibles is hosting Joshua Middleton, back at SDCC for the first time in five years. Plan on his signings to fill up quickly.
- Creator of Age of Bronze Eric Shanower will be attending SDCC this year, you can find him in Artist Alley at BB-01. You’ll want to check out his Wizard of Oz books if you haven’t already, they are perfect.
- Academic nonfiction publisher, McFarland Books will be attending Comic-Con. Be sure to swing by and wish them a happy 40th anniversary.
- When the kids are away the Mom will….paint? That’s the case for Nan Hockin, who showed off a watercolor piece she will be be bringing to SDCC.

- Eisner award nominee Ray Fawkes has San Diego Comic-Con on his schedule for the summer.
- If you missed out on pre-ordering Alex Pardee’s Brightmares & Deadlines book, you’ll have one more chance at SDCC to pick it up.

- Comic creator Frank Gogol has had a full schedule all this year, but he’s not missing SDCC on his list.
- Gather ye rogues, barbarians and monks….the Wizards of the Coast Dungeons & Dragons team will be present and accounted for at Comic-Con next month.
- Public speaker and Tarzan expert Scott Tracy Griffin has SDCC on his appearance schedule for July. Griffin also serves as the Director of Special Projects for Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc.
- You won’t even need to use a Marauder’s Map to find Ken Choy at SDCC, as he’ll be moderating a Harry Potter panel with giveaways.

- New York Times bestselling author Delilah Dawson’s new IDW series, Star Pig, should be hitting the shelves at your local comic book store shortly after SDCC, but maybe we’ll get a preview since she’ll be there in person? Fingers crossed!
- Some of us here at the Ublog are extraordinarily excited about this announcement. (Hint: It’s the two of us who own pugs.) Puglie will be large and in charge at SDCC.
