Artist Alex Pardee is best known for his “brightmares” — bright nightmares, that offer a vivid, detailed look at some nightmare-fueled imagination.

That penchant for dark imagination made him a perfect fit for Topps’ Project 70 earlier this year, an initiative celebrating the company’s 70th anniversary, in which artists were asked to create unique baseball cards that never could have existed. Pardee re-imagined famous baseball players as monsters, and he knocked it out of the park.

This year for San Diego Comic-Con, he is taking that general idea one step further, with “The Triple Threat“, a Brightmares collectible companion trading card by Pardee and Variantz. The new card features an imaginary baseball player, decked out in vivid blue and gold, who seems to love (or hate) two things: Comic-Con and and baseball, in an exclusive Comic Con colorway.

The card features a transparent cut-out, it’s see-through in parts, and comes complete in a collectible case.

You can stop by Booth #5502 (in Hall A) to score the card for $75, but hurry — it’s limited to only 100 pieces.
