Peanuts “Animated” Pop-Up Shop
Peanuts will host a free pop-up shop featuring enormous video walls celebrating Peanuts in animation, from A Charlie Brown Christmas to the wealth of classic and original programming available on Apple TV+.
Apple TV+ will provide a screening area on the the patio in front of the pop-up, where viewers can watch select episodes of the new Apple TV+ series, Camp Snoopy.
The shop will feature info on Schulz, Mendelson, the late Peanuts animator/director Bill Melendez and the legacy of Vince Guaraldi’s music. It will also display behind-the-scenes “fun facts” related to Peanuts animation–such as the fact that the adult “wah wah wah” sound effect is created by a trombone. Visitors can take advantage of fun photo opps amid such iconic Peanuts animation scenes as The Great Pumpkin Patch; Snoopy in the kitchen for Thanksgiving; and a scene from A Charlie Brown Christmas, and enjoy meet-and-greets with the Snoopy costume character.
From a Camp Snoopy fanny pack to vinyl albums of Vince Guaraldi Peanuts themes, the pop-up shop will also present an extensive array of exclusive new Peanuts merchandise.
Open daily Thursday-Sunday from 10am-6pm at 200 J. Street.
