Two bits on SDCC news for Saturday, July 3rd:

First, Bioware just announced that they will be holding a panel for their upcoming MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The panel is called “Beyond Solo: Crafting the Multiplayer Story in Star Wars: The Old Republic” and it is being held on July 23rd from 1:00 to 2:00pm in Room 7AB. Guests will include James Ohlen (Studio Creative Director and Lead Designer, BioWare), Drew Karpyshyn (Principal Writer, BioWare), and Alexander Freed (Managing Editor, BioWare), as they

discuss the game and maybe present some new footage. This is great news for both Star Wars and gaming fans at the convention. A few more details are located here.

Second, Gentle Giant just announced their SDCC exclusives (see them here) and the announcement included details for a Guillermo del Toro and Doug Jones signing. They’re attending to promoting the figures for Pan’s Labyrinth and will be at GG’s booth on Saturday, July 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Though the appearance centers around them signing the Pan Figures, attendees that don’t want to buy one might still have the possibility to see or shake hands with them. There’s a chance non-buyers will be turned away, but fans of these geek icons might just want to try it.
