A while back, we reported on a tweet from The Hollywood Reporter writer Borys Kit, announcing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Ridley Scott’s Alien “prequel” Prometheus would be making an appearance in Hall H. Since then, we’ve heard from other sources that they would not be showing at the con this year. Who to believe?
Well, if a story from SignOnSanDiego.com’s Nina Garin can be believed, Prometheus will indeed be showing in Hall H, as one of the mystery films in the 20th Century Fox panel.
And it all has to do with Justin Timberlake.
Garin reports that Justin Timberlake’s upcoming film In Time with Amanda Seyfried will also be one of the films showcased in the 20th Century Fox panel, by way of private press interviews the same day.
And then she spills the beans:
Mr. SexyBack and Seyfried are scheduled to do private press interviews early in the afternoon. So don’t be surprised if they show up at the 20th Century Fox Panel, featuring previews of “Prometheus,” “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” and “In Time” at 3:15 p.m. in Hall H.
So we’re wondering if this will be confirmed before the con, or if it’s one of the many surprises Hollywood has planned to spring on attendees. If we hear anything. we’ll keep you posted.
