We have received word on the status of three major ABC television shows and their status at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Fair warning – there will be lots of cheers, and a few tears as well.
Also note this information is unconfirmed from the studio but comes from reliable sources. We’re confident that it’s accurate as of now, so we’re going to print with it. Note that information can change between now and SDCC, so there’s our “out”…
Let’s get the bad news out of the way. Nathan Fillion fans, there will be no Castle panel this year, according to fan site CastleTV.net. Like we said last year, however, Nathan loves SDCC too much to stay away, so we’re confident he’ll turn up on another panel, an offsite or even Nerd HQ.
Now the good news. Two of ABC’s high-profile new shows will be at SDCC this year. That is, of course, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (no surprise) and Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. No word on whether the appearances for these two shows will be just panels or if a pilot screening is also planned, but you’ll be seeing these two on stage nonetheless. Welcome home, Agent Coulson…
So does the inclusion of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Wonderland make up for the lack of Castle (again) this year? Let us know in the comments.
