Dark Horse Brings Buffy, Angel Variants and Limited Editions to WonderCon

Dark Horse has announced they will be bringing several variant covers and limited edition convention exclusives to next weekend’s WonderCon Anaheim.

If you’re a Buffy or Angel fan, you’re in luck. They’ll have a Buffy Season 10 #1 variant cover by Tomb Raider art director Brian Horton. Or if Angel & Faith is your thing, a Season 10 #1 variant by Steve Morris will be available. Both are limited to 1,000 copies and will be sold for $5 each.

If you’re more of a gamer, you’ll be able to pick up The Last of Us: American Dreams, a hardbound collection of the comics that lead into last year’s Game of the Year. This collection will debut at PAX East this weekend and will only be available in “very limited quantities” during WonderCon. Or, pick up a special cover variant of The Witcher, with all proceeds to benefit Usagi Yojimbo Stan Sakai and his wife Sharon.

Lastly, Mike Mignola fans won’t want to leave without picking up the limited-edition hardover Itty Bitty Hellboy!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MILWAUKIE, OR —As the pop culture world gears up for this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA, Dark Horse announces two special variant covers for this year’s show!

First up, Dark Horse brings an all-new variant cover for a critical hit and fan favorite, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with an exclusive Season Ten first-issue cover by Tomb Raider art director Brian Horton! Limited to 1,000 copies, these are sure to be scarce!

Second is a variant for Angel & Faith Season Ten #1, by Buffy cover artist Steve Morris! Again, with only 1,000 copies produced, these will go fast!

These two special WonderCon exclusives will retail for $5 and are limited to five per person.

Dark Horse also has three other convention exclusives, produced in limited editions and available while supplies last!
Legendary artist Stan Sakai has done a special cover for the upcoming The Witcher, a canonical tie-in series in the world of the Witcher video games, which have collectively won over 250 awards and sold more than 5.5 million copies worldwide! All proceeds from the sale of this limited-edition variant will benefit Stan and Sharon Sakai.

Art Baltazar and Franco bring you the characters that sprung from Mike Mignola’s imagination, with an AW YEAH twist, in Itty Bitty Hellboy! A limited-edition hardcover is available at WonderCon for $20, while supplies last!

The Last of Us: American Dreams, from Faith Erin Hicks (The Adventures of Superhero Girl) and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, collects the comics that are the official lead-in to the game. This limited-edition hardcover will first be available at PAX East this weekend, and then invery limited quantities at WonderCon for $24.99.
