It is now February and that means we are one month closer to Comic-Con. As we get closer to July, plans begin to solidify and we know more specifics about individuals and companies we can expect to see there. This edition of Under the Tents will cover a few companies announcing their attendance as well as small press, artist’s alley, some potential booths, appearances, and autographs.
Here’s a look at some news you might have missed:
- It has been announced on the Roddenberry Entertainment official website that they will be returning to Comic-Con 2015. Roddenberry Entertain is most notable for its work on Star Trek as well as Andromeda, Earth Final Conflict, and other work’s in sci-fi.
- Sam Maggs, author of The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy, posted on Twitter that there is a 99% chance that will be attending SDCC this year.

- Author of Words of Radiance and The Wheel of Time, Brandon Sanderson, posted on Twitter he is planning on attending Comic-Con.

- Novelist Scott Sigler announced via his podcast on his website that he will be attending SDCC 2015. His latest book, Alive, will be available summer 2015.
- CNN Money reports that Scholastic’s Graphix, which prints graphic novels aimed at children and teens, will be continuing its 10th anniversary celebration at San Diego Comic-Con this summer. Graphix will have 12 artists creating special prints that will be available at SDCC 2015 and other select events, as well as online.
- Don Rosa’s Facebook page lists Comic-Con on his signing schedule. Don is known for his illustrations on Disney comics, specifically the ducks such as Donald and Scrooge.
- Jackie Huang’s website has listed she will be in attendance at Comic-Con 2015 with her paper art.
- Best known to Comic-Con fans as the actor in horror movie series Phantasm I-IV, Reggie Bannister’s website has him scheduled to appear SDCC this summer.
- Announced on their website, CGC Comics will be celebrating it’s 15th anniversary at Comic Con. CGC is a third-party comic grading service.
- Alina Chau’s official website states she will be at table Q12 in artist’s alley at this year’s con. Alina is best known for her work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars as well as her whimsical illustrations.
- Illustrator Joe Corroney’s website has Comic-Con 2015 listed as on his appearance schedule. Joe’s illustration credits include Star Wars, Star Trek, and Doctor Who.
- The FUNimation website has San Diego Comic-Con listed on their convention schedule. FUNimation brings large quantities of Anime to North American audiences.
- Author Robert Payne Cabeen and his book Fearworms: Selected Poems and Illustrations announced on Twitter they will be attending Comic-Con.

- The official site for Monkey Minion Press’ convention schedule has them in San Diego this summer.
- Eisner Award nominee and illustrator, Sarah Richard, has San Diego Comic-Con listed as an upcoming appearance on her website.
- Artist Kelly Yates’ website has him listed as making an appearance at this year’s Comic-Con. Yates is a full-time graphic designer and also known for his work on the IDW Doctor Who comics.
- Lightspeed Fine Art’s site has SDCC 2015 listed on their convention schedule. They offer original art work as well as prints and autographs, and in the past have offered exciting photograph opportunities with everyone from Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny to Matt Smith.
- Geek Chic revealed on their website that they will be bringing their Roadshow to Comic-Con. Geek Chic sas been designing and manufacturing geek furniture, such as gaming tables, exclusively since 2008.
- Elephant Eat Comics announced on their website that will be returning to the SDCC small press pavilion for their 12th consecutive year. They can be found at table P-16.
- Cartoonist Jay Fosgitt has listed on his website’s appearances and singing section that he will be at Comic-Con this summer. Jay has done sketch work on trading cards and has worked on comics such as Archie and Adventure Time.
- Author Seanan McGuire has listed her attendance to SDCC on her LiveJournal page. Her latest novel, The Winter Long, was released in September 2014.
- Babbs Tarr, known for her illustration and design, announced on Twitter she will be in attendance at SDCC this summer.

- Author Tumeri Etherton’s official website has her schedule to be at Comic-Con 2015. She is known for her novel The Stones of Kaldaar.
