‘Vikings’ Sets Likely Course for San Diego Comic-Con 2016

Break out the drinking horns, because it looks like Vikings fans have something to celebrate.

Actress Katheryn Winnick, who plays Lagertha on The History Channel series Vikings, told a fan on Twitter asking about her convention schedule, “We go to the San Diego one every year. It’s insane and amazing. Come see us there.”

While that’s not an outright confirmation that Vikings will be at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, it’s pretty close — and considering how much of a push History has given the series there the last few years, it’s a very safe bet.

And adding to that news, Zenescope co-founder Ralph Tedesco announced on Twitter that they started working on the fourth annual Vikings comic book for San Diego Comic-Con — which has traditionally been given away at each year’s panel.

Last year included not only a panel with stars Winnick, Travis Fimmel, Clive Standen, and Alexander Ludwig — but also a San Diego Seal Boat turned Vikings Longboat which gave attendees free rides around the harbor, and also saw a street team give out free drinking horns around the Gaslamp. Other years have also included offsite installations, autograph signings, and much more.
