Under the Tents: NECA, 2000AD, BeeFy & Co, Lord Mesa, Justin Harder, James Silvani

After Memorial Day, the floodgates of San Diego Comic-Con open wide, and we all just struggle not to drown in it (which is half the fun! Right?!). But that doesn’t mean we haven’t had a lot of news this week, including our first look at one of NECA’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, items available from 200AD and BeeFy & Co, and lots of news on artists and the exhibit floor.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Paper doll artist and puffy pin maker Jessica Yamboa posted on Instagram her latest work for the SDCC art show. It is a Riverdale‘s Veronica Lodge themed mermaid paper doll.

  • We have more information on upcoming exclusives from concept designer Justin Harder. We get our first glimpse in a tweeted video of a Deadpool pin, followed by a tweet with a detailed picture letting us know he and exclusives can be found at Small Press table O-08, and lastly a tweet letting us know he will be attending this year’s Comic-Con preview night selling a Deadpool package of a pin, patch, poster and shirt.

  • 2000 AD has posted two shirts that will be available as San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. The Judge Dredd Citizen shirt and Perp shirt will be available for pre-purchase on the website at a future date. Pre-ordered shirts can only be picked up at their booth, #2806. No mail order option will be available.

  • Kymera Press posted on Instagram another sneak peek of their upcoming release Dragons by the Yard headed to SDCC.  Kymera Press is a comic book publisher that produces comics that are for women, by women and about women.

  • James Silvani posted on Instagram that his commission pre-orders are available for Comic-Con 2017.  Details can be found by following the link.

  • New York Times best selling author Christopher Rice posted on his website that he will be doing a casual book signing at SDCC 2017.
  • Rod Reis best known for his work on Hadrian’s Wall released by Image Comics replied to a question on Twitter that he will not be attending San Diego Comic-Con this year.

  • Writer and artist Daniel Presedo tweeted a request for art to be submitted to him that could end up being displayed on the backdrop of the Adobe booth. Those interested should send him a message on Twitter.

  • Artist Scott Hattox shows off on Instagram an acrylic on canvas work in progress painting of Goku from Dragon Ball Z that will be a part of a set headed to San Diego Comic-Con.

  • The Moon Minis have updated their website to announce they will be attending Comic-Con. You can stop by and meet the creator and illustrator Niall Westerfield at their booth, N11.

  • Artist Lord Mesa announced on Twitter he will be bringing more of his adorable artwork to San Deigo this July. More details to come.

  • One of our favorite artists Patrick Ballesteros posted on Instagram another of his 25 Cent Wonder headed to San Diego Comic-Con. This time it’s Spirited Away themed.

  • Voice actor Steve Blum posted on his website that he will be attending Comic-Con 2017 with a schedule to be announced.
  • The Star Trek cosplay group USS Navaras posted on Facebook that they will be at Comic-Con 2017 booth MZ-04. They do appearances in uniform/makeup for public events and helps to raise funds for charity.
  • BeeFy & Co posted on their website that they will be at SDCC booth #5051 and posted on their Facebook page a “Mad Titan” t-shirt they will be selling.
