Thanks to its partnership with Cox Communications, the city of San Diego will once again offer free Wi-Fi hotspots during San Diego Comic-Con.
Last year, the two partnered together to bring over 100 Wi-Fi hotspots downtown. According to 10News, the free hotspots will be offered again this year from July 17-24 and will include such neighborhoods as the Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, and East Village.
It’s worth noting that the convention center itself is not included in that partnership – and while in the past, the convention center Wi-Fi has been sponsored through MTV/Teen Wolf, last year they didn’t renew that partnership. The question of whether or not we see free Wi-Fi inside the convention center is still yet to be revealed.
When you’re getting ready to check Twitter for the latest updates or post that selfie you took with that celeb you bumped into in line at Starbucks, look for FreeCoxWifi to connect to one of the free hotspots.
You can find a link to all of Cox’s Wi-Fi hotspots here, or you can see the map below for areas around the convention center.
Will you take advantage of Cox Communications’ free wi-fi while you’re downtown? Let us know in the comments.
