Schick Hydro to Challenge San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Attendees

You never know what could happen at Comic-Con. Maybe you’re walking around, exploring the offsites, and there’s your favorite cosplayer you’ve been dying to impress. You reach up to stroke your chin pensively and realize you forgot to shave that morning! What’s a man to do? Schick may have the answer.

Schick, the men’s shave brand, is bringing an immersive escape-the-room fan experience called the “Schick Hydro Escape” to San Diego Comic-Con this year. Each room will be filled with memorable props and clues to help players escape and features cool technology, like holograms, to immerse attendees into the comic book narrative. Players who solve the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Hiroshi in 20 minutes or less will walk away with exclusive swag.

Inspired by a brand new, first-of-its-kind comic book called, Hydrobot and the Transformers, the experience will:

  • Challenge Con-goers to a series of physical and mental challenges that dive further into the new story arc
  • Take inspiration from fan-favorite movies, comic books and video games

See below for a first look.

The “Schick Hydro Escape” Experience will be located at The Interactive Zone in Petco Park during San Diego Comic-Con 2017, July 20 – 23 from 9 AM – 5 PM

The “Schick Hydro Escape” will take fans through interactive, mental and physical challenges that dive deeper into the genesis of the Schick Hydro superhero, Hydrobot, to unlock the mystery of his creator’s disappearance, Dr. Hiroshi.

Fans will be required to complete different puzzles in order to “power up” Hydrobot and escape the room. As puzzles are completed, the Schick Hydro superhero will be unveiled in order to escape the room.

A fully “powered up” hologram of the Schick Hydro superhero Hydrobot – a razor designed like no other to help protect and defend against irritation – in the “Schick Hydro Escape.”

Are you willing to accept the challenge and try to save Dr. Hiroshi? Let us know in the comments.
