Funko Documentary Offers First Look at ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive

We’re probably just a few weeks away from Funko beginning to unveil this year’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives (last year, announcements kicked off on June 5) – but in addition to the two already-revealed exclusives, Funko has given attendees another peak at what they can expect for 2018.

This week, Netflix released the long-awaited Funko documentary, Making Fun: The Story of Funko. It features plenty of footage of attendees at both SDCC and Fun Days, but today, the company revealed there’s also a hidden connection to the convention somewhere in the documentary: A look at one of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives.

It wasn’t long before eagle-eyed viewer Jake Soliz tracked down the answer: The Royal Tenenbaums Vynl.

In the documentary, a Funko employee is working on what appears to be a few different versions of Luke Wilson and Gwyneth Paltrow’s characters from the film, Richie and Margot Tenenbaum. There’s no word yet on which of the versions – or indeed, whether it will be a two-pack or simply one of the characters – will be making its way to San Diego Comic-Con as a Funko Vynl. exclusive, but here’s a look at the options:
