Are you ready for some San Diego Comic-Con news? Of course you are, you’re reading Under the Tents. In this edition, we have great announcements from a lot of talented artists bringing their work to SDCC, as well as some teasers and commission openings.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Author Dan Wickline announced he will be at SDCC for one day this year to promote his new book and possibly sign.

  • Illustrator/author Brian Kesinger has partnered with Bottled Monster to create a new Otto and Victoria pin, which will be available at the League of STEAM’s Booth #5618.


  • Artist Nan Hockin took a break from her SDCC prep to post her pin buttons with stickers she’ll have at Table #F-11 this year.


  • Jungle Boy Productions posted a teaser to Instagram of one of the exclusives they’re bringing to Booth #1417 at SDCC this year.


  • If you contributed $25 or more to Red Stylo Media’s crowdfunding campaign to back the release of Crossing 2 & 3, they want to get together with you at SDCC to say thank you.

  • The folks behind the Hall H Show Podcast and San Diego Comics Initiative want you to come hang out with them at Alcatraz High Booth #1943 during SDCC.

  • You can find Trends International nestled within the Lucasfilm Pavilion on the Exhibit Hall floor, where Russell Walks will have his latest Star Wars poster triptych available for signing.

  • Beefy & Co. took to Instagram to reveal their latest Mystic Poo, Phoebepoo. You can find her and more at Beefy & Co.’s Booth #5051.


  • Artist Jin Yung Kim announced on his Instagram feed he is releasing a new sketch series print each week leading up to SDCC 2018 and began with this DragonBall Z piece.


  • Surreal artist Camilla d’Errico is celebrating her 20th “Conniversary” with this hand-embellished Icarus print. You can find this and more at her Booth #4723.

  • Artist Sean Forney announced via Twitter he will be doing commission sketches all during SDCC this year. You can find him in Artists Alley at Table #BB-05.

  • Artist Pernille Ørum posted another mini-painting to her Twitter feed that she’s bringing with her to SDCC this year.

  • Artist Scott Blair announced via Twitter that his SDCC sketch pre-order list open. You can find him in Artist Alley at Table #EE-11.

  • Artist Sean Anderson took to Instagram to post his new Spidey Head, still a bit of a work-in-progress, he’s bringing with him to Table #DD-12 in Artists Alley at SDCC this year.


  • Did you think the teasers were over? Silly reader! Eunjung June Kim teased via Instagram some new items she’ll have with her at Table #O-14 in Small Press.
