AMC Returns to San Diego Comic-Con with Panels, Offsites

AMC has finally unleashed all of the details of their presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, which includes previously-announced panels for Breaking BadBetter Call SaulThe Walking DeadFear The Walking Dead, and Preacher. But now, we have cast information (and also information on this year’s offsites!).

We’ll start with the offsites, which include the also-previously-announced Better Call Saul season premiere red carpet event on Thursday, July 19. It will be held at the UA Horton Plaza starting at 6:30PM. The screening will be closed to the public with the exception of the contest winners.

Fans of The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead can get excited about the return of Dead Quarters, AMC’s zombie fan zone located on Martin Luther King Promenade, in front of the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel (4th Avenue and L Street, across from the convention center). This year’s offsite will feature an immersive experience with a curated walk through the settings of both series, including The Sanctuary, and a “thrilling 22-foot Zombie slide” inspired by the one from Fear The Walking Dead. There will also be photo opportunities with the walker composter, and Negan’s flaming Lucille.

You can also stop by Booth #4237 to get a look at The Walking Dead: Our World, AMC and Next Games’ new location-based, augmented reality mobile game. Convention attendees will get to play the game, which will include a special “Comic-Con Special Encounter” set up only for the convention. It will reward players with guaranteed “Rare” or “Epic” characters from the series to add to your collection within the game.

There will also be an autograph signing for Fear The Walking Dead on Friday, July 20 from 9:30AM-10:30AM, and The Walking Dead on Friday, July 20 from 1:45PM-2:45PM. The signing will take place in the Autograph Area.
