DC and Warner Bros. Will Host Combined ‘Super-Sized’ Booth Space at San Diego Comic-Con 2019

It’s beginning to look a lot like… Comic-Con season? By now, you (likely) know whether you’re attending San Diego Comic-Con 2019 or not, which means that you can start looking forward to what you’ll be doing at Comic-Con rather than worrying about badge sales.

Which might be why DC Comics chose yesterday to announce that for 2019, they’re on the move on the SDCC show floor. For the first time, the DC booth “will stand shoulder to shoulder with parent company Warner Bros.’ booth, bringing together two powerhouse brands and creating a new super-sized space that will provide the ultimate Con experience”.

It sounds like the combined booth will either be in Warner Bros.’ usual location, or near to that side of the show floor.

It’s an interesting move, in that this could be either DC or Warner Bros. wanting to consolidate their brands under one roof for a more cohesive experience for fans – or it could simply be either company wanting to pay for less overall booth space (after all, paying for one booth, even if you increase the size a bit, is surely less expensive than paying for two huge booths). We suspect this could potentially lead to less overall space for DC Comics on the floor – but we’ll know more closer to July 2019.
